Don't miss one night with the CPAP
I use a CPAP to control my sleep apnea - I don't know if I've ever mentioned that. Last night, I forgot to use it. This morning, my uvula was so irritated from snoring that it had swelled to three times normal size, and was resting comfortably on top of my tongue.

This may be one of the most singularly disturbing sensations I've experienced in my adult life. Thankfully, chloraseptic lozenges and copious amounts of water were able to soothe the irritation. Yay!

That is a horrifying thing.

I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds painful.

I have two close friends with sleep apnea. One refuses to use listen to me and use his CPAP, he's taken the stance of "if I die in my sleep, so be it", it makes me sad that he feels that way, unfortunately, I can't show up at his apartment every night, hold him down and make him use it. The other friend, to my knowledge, uses it, but he doesn't like it so I'm not completely certain he uses it every night.

Anyway, I am glad to hear that you use yours.
