"Tugboats and arson, that's all I ever get from you guys!"
I spent about three hours cooking tonight. Now I have two kinds of coleslaw (One is the traditional ranch-ey kind, the other is "corn slaw" made with balsamic vinaigrette) and homemade pasta sauce. I suppose I should have made an entree or something.

Now I'm trying to get my scanner working on Linux. Here is my not-so-exciting todo list, which has been copied from the notebook in which it resides. Some people may note that it looks like a New Year's Resolution list, but they are <zuul>MISGUIDED FOOLS</zuul>:

So much to do, so little time . . .

In no particular order (I just need unique ID's to establish dependencies):
  1. Get the Mafia suit cleaned
  2. Get the tires rotated on Lawrence
  3. Find a way to slog through Vicesteed chapter one so I can finish getting results to cloudscudding
  4. Get the scanner working on Linux
  5. Get the WiFi network working at home
  6. Organize the Culch - mostly purging for electronics recycling
  7. Get my WaCom tablet working on Linux
  8. Fix the heat issues with Hayabusa and Siddhartha
  9. Get the midi pad working under any operating system
  10. (4) Scan the recipes and quotes I have lying loose
  11. Play with the MiniKorg more; play the guitar more
  12. Mail boxes to angharad and push_loud_pens. If you're reading this - yeah, I totally suck. I think I have the address for the former, but not the latter.
  13. (8) Finish the Wandering mix disc for devilstears
  14. (8) Finish the three problems that are still wrong with "This is the Way It Ends"
  15. Put up the posters
  16. Collect techno for divinegoth
  17. Collect different techno for mcghiever
  18. Make the Robo Rally disc for aaron_foss
  19. Get copies of my sets to scathach
  20. Use my digital camera more
  21. Establish a meditation schedule
  22. Play the guitar more than I currently do
  23. Finish the CS capstone
  24. (23) Apply to U of M CS master's program (MS); finish it
  25. Research what Computer Science Ph.D programs I would be interested in
  26. (24) (25) Apply to C.S. Ph.D program
  27. See people that want to be seen
Current Music: The Dresden Files

28. Make Rose food. Repeat. Read Craig Thompson's touching and funny graphic novel, Good-bye, Chunky Rice.

This is hard to do through the mail. It's also a fuck-ton harder to do if YOU'RE IN TAIWAN.

You can manage it. I have complete faith in you.

There is no Dana, only a to-do list, enumerated for referential integrity.

Robo Rally disc?

It's complicated, but long story short, you want one, and you'll get it.

It depends if I get it done before you move. Did you move?

In exchange for #16, I shall make you vegan brownies and/or some tasty veggie foods. :) Thinking of which, I made some fracking delicious tofu & veggie lo mein for dinner tonight. I think I'm going to have to take some to work tomorrow. Shiny!

Despite rumors to the contrary, I'm just a vegetarian, not a vegan. I'll see how quickly I can make it happen. I AM PROGRESS!

Sorries, I wasn't trying to imply you were vegan. I'm not really vegetarian, but still enjoy vegetarian/vegan foods. Just let me know what you'd like me to make, and I'll see what I can do for you. Shiny! :)
