The title's a song? And I'm always pleased to see you mention Cowboy Neal in your polls. It's good for him to get out more :-)

Track 6, to be precise. This album is mostly songs from the original Highlander soundtrack, which Queen did awesomely.

Also, Cowboy Neal immortality is probably the only kind achievable in this universe, barring breakthrough technological innovations on an epic scale.

On the question of immortality

I initially read this as "On the question of immorality." The prospect excited me greatly. I feel a bit let down now.

Just one kind of immorality, really
Think about it - is becoming a vampire something God/society wants everybody to do? I think the answer is: maybe.

Just saying...
That Tolkien's elves were kinda...non-sex-having. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm sure they like to lick moss and toads and masterbate with bark and stuff.

Re: Just saying...
So, the elves are like berry-sucking, magic-using, sword-making, big-ear-having, granola-crunching, Green-party-voting, quasi-immortal hippies?

Nader-sodomizing bear lovers, yes.

There needs to be an "All of the Above" option at the top.

Your comment has been duly noted and summarily dismissed due to technological limitations of the LJ poll system, general snarkiness, and bears.

There is no limitation in the lj poll feature that prevents you from labelling a radio button, "All of the Above."

But I can't go back and change it, Anonymous Person.

ye gods, i looked at your icon and thought... 'starbuck doesn't play the trumpet...what is that?' and then i realized she was drinking. i feel stoopid.

Sigh
Really, I'd take any of the immortality (and immorality) options, if there was only one available. And the Highlander thing sounds ok, but then there's all that head-chopping-off stuff, with other people trying to kill you. The vampire thing is a decent trade-off, but why not avoid killing other people all the time if you can?

Elves.

Mmmmmm, elves. Were there any ugly elves? Nope. All hotness. And magic. And stuff.

And I don't know what a Cylon or a Cowboy Neal are, so.... *shrug*

Where's the option where I get to choose when?

Immortality's great if you can choose when you've had enough.

I give you extra credit for the use of pants. Particularly if they glow and were fabricated in Russia.
