Don't take anything for granted.
When it seems that the capacitors on your Asus A7V600 motherboard for an Athlon XP 3200 are going bad because the time that the system can stay up is getting shorter and shorter on a reverse logarithmics scale, you may be right. Since this is what happened to all those computers at work.

Or you could realize that your motherbaord has some of the best capacitors in the world built into it, and maybe you should try it out with that other power supplu, since the 400W one might be borked. Which is what it was.

Boy is my face red :-(

This has nothing to do with your entry, I just wanted to say that your icon amuses me.

I sort of hacked it together for the occasion, even though it was a hardware problem ;-)

Not entirely sure how the vegan part is related to hardware snafus, but I like it regardless.

Just the part where they die, and God says:
No, they got it wrong. Meat is okay, bacon is best, but celery was created by Satan to trick dieters.

I think I sprained my tongue getting it back out of my cheek.

Celery? I thought it was corn that had that honor. I always had the hardest time getting corn out from between my teeth when I eat it on the cob. So now I only eat it when someone else goes to the trouble of cutting it off the cob and putting it in the salad, where that doesn't happen.

Celery is actually my favorite dipping vegetable, incidentally, I always finish off the celery at my grandparents' house when they have dip out. Never had the problem of getting it stuck in my cheek personally, but I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this.

Celery is the tool of the Devil, I say. It has negative calories. Negative Calories! Where do they go? It's the Devil, sucking you into Hades one fat cell at a time!

Plus, I just really don't like the way it tastes. The older I get, oddly, the less I like it.

Silly you...
It's ALWAYS the damn power supply. Always. Unless it's a laptop, in which case it's RAM.

Power supplies... ::grumble::
