Abdominal walls will tear us apart . . . again . . .
Um, I'm alive. Probably should have mentioned that sooner. Thank you to people who tried to get in touch.

My body has decided to continue its long-dormant plan to kill me, only this time, it's beginning with my groin and working its way up*. As long as I don't wear tight-fitting pants, I can survive pretty well, with mild discomfort only when food is passing through that particular area of my small intestines. And that feeling alone makes the discomfort even more discomforting**.

But I'm getting surgery next Tuesday. Which should be a whole lot of fun, considering how much laying around I've been doing since this thing started.

Also, my computer's primary hard drive is dying after the back-up I just made, which is really good timing from the hard drive's stand-point, since now it can finally die.

PS - Miami Vice is a movie that I saw. In short, the cast can act quite well, mullets are still not attractive, Michael Mann is still a fantastic director, and Mr. Mann is still carrying on his torrid love affair with Moby (or at least his music, which includes songs in the end credits where the source designation is Heat or Collateral, and not the actual Moby album).

*Much like the Russian retaliation against Napoleon's ill-fated expansion campaign, my body seeks to first destroy my morale before forcing my soldiers to die on an ice field with frozen cannons. Or something.

** Discomfitting? I don't know anymore.

You were in one of my stressful dreams this last week! It made me want to hang out with you! I am used to ministering to sick people! (see Morgan, Bria: the year 2004)
