I need to walk more often
The streets of St. Anthony Village are lined with night-blooming jasmine. There is still some beauty in the ur-suburbs, and not just geese.

You want me to kill the geese and give you some?
Abra SWcloudscudding on May 5th, 2006 02:06 pm (UTC)
I believe that geese are not considered "good eatin'." Besides, don't you have some sort of "don't kill the animals" thing going on?

Um, yes.

Also, to get back to my point, this is night-blooming jasmine we're talking about, so the only way to share the beauty would be for you to be over here around 10PM and smell it.

That seems like a lot of work. Still, you could probably kidnap me for a night-blooming jasmine-sniffing expedition, so long as you returned me promptly. Of course, if it was just the two of us in the car, probability would explode and something weird and fucked up would happen, likely resulting in us ending up somewhere in Canada. Stranded. With cannibals approaching.

That's what you get for sniffing night-blooming jasmine.

Domestic geese are good, Canadian Geese are not. Roasted, it's like really fatty turkey or duck. Goose is the original (and superior) source of foie gras. However, since you actually have to force-feed a goose (as opposed to letting a duck over-eat until it dies) it's much less humane and labor intensive.

'Cause letting something over-eat until it dies is so humane.

Grey area, IMO.

Scratch that. They have to force the ducks too. It's just that the duck carcas is more valuable than the goose, so they get more cash out of it.

Sugoi.

It definitely smells better here than it does in Chicago.
