Potential Firefly Showings
drowdancer and I have talked recently about arranging showings of Firefly for those interested in viewing the series before we start dragging you to Serenity when it comes out on September 30th. We figure we can do one disc in a sitting, and we have a month and a half to do it. If you are interested, please comment with any suggestions for viewing times/locations you have.

In the meantime,

Suo3xi4?
瑣細?・琐细?

"Suo-SHEE?"
"petty"
Inara, to Mal about what she meant instead of "petty"
  • suo3xi4: small and tedious, trivial; suo3 petty, trivial; xi4 minute, trifling

Also, I think this is just funny. You know, in a not funny kind of way.

I'd be interested, but have seen so don't need to be present. Just let me know if there's a time picked and I'll try to make it.

I'll put my TV up for use here if you're interested. Otherwise, I'd also like to attend whatever other place it occurs.

I'd be interested, but you shouldn't schedule around me, as I'm generally the least easily accomodated schedule-wise in our circle.

I could see it any evening time up until august 25th.

I'd be good for in. Am still unemployed next week, so that would be good. Would also be willing to volunteer my house and DVD player if needed.

I'd totally be up for that.

I'm interested in Firefly, and I'm available most evenings and weekends.

Serenity is such an oxymoron of a name for that movie. It's a movie about war, don't they know that serenity means peace?

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, so I'll say this:

Serenity is the name of the ship; the ship is named after Serenity Valley, which is where the Independents (Browncoats) suffered their most crushing defeat to the Alliance (who now run the galaxy).

I was being serious - I didn't know that Serenity was the name of their ship at first. It still seems somewhat ironic to me, but ah well. I suppose it would make more sense if I actually knew something about Firefly.
Moxie Crimefighter: eyedrowdancer on August 13th, 2005 08:53 pm (UTC)
The Battle of Serenity Valley was the last battle of the war between the Independents and the Alliance, which is what the ship's named after.

So it is based in irony after all.

I need to get Annie to watch Firefly.

We've got the first 4 episodes on our Tivo, and the entire set on DVD (copied from a friend, for backup purposes only). If only we had digital cable for the almost DVD quality.
