My grandma is set to recover nicely from the blood clot in her lung - although I don't know how much extra time that's going to give her. Thanks again for the kind words - I got to see her yesterday, and she's looking better than I've seen her in years (which is odd in and of itself).

Today I worked too long at the code reviews, and then my car got tapped in the ass by a drunk driver (No real damage, just some idiot who floored it at a red light, with me in front. I'm okay). Really, today is about how sometimes you can't win. I was tempted to say "how the world conspires against you and will never give a damn about you or anything you do", but I somehow restrained myself. Also, it's from a Fuzzy Memory by Jack Handey, and I don't want to step on any toes right now.
Current Mood: vaguely cranky

Hit the new car? Crypes... Sorry to hear that, man.

Glad to hear that you and your grandmother are hanging in there. Did your car take much damage?

There's a scratch on the bumper, so it's been hurt hardly at all - it was just the surprise of some idiot hitting my car in the ass.

I know the exact feeling.

I also agree with everyone that I am glad that your grandmother is going to be around for longer.

As for the car...Did the cops take care of the drunk driver?

The bastard slunk off the first exit he could find. I don't know for a fact he was drunk, except the had problems holding his head up or looking in the same place for too long.
