There are several songs from Radiohead that lend themselves to the acoustic guitar. Then again, as good as most of these are, most are fairly sad. People generally seem to know most Pablo Honey…

Dave Matthews Band has a lot of sing/play along songs. YMMV depending on your audience.

Also, Johnnie Cash's cover of Hurt is *really* easy to play and sing. And who the fuck doesn't know Hurt?
