I think I may have just made the biggest Han Solo Mistake ™ of my software engineering career. If I hadn't accidentally created a change record, I wouldn't have talked to Mick, and if I hadn't talked to Mick, Mick wouldn't have seen just how badly the align light was behaving.
And for those of you who don't know what a Han Solo Mistake ™ is, consider what would have happened if Han hadn't called attention to the Rebel incursion when he snapped that stick on Endor. That's the best explanation I can think of . . .
