The American Family Association started a poll for their largely conservative (and exclusive) audience about whether America supported gay marriage. The AFA had initially started the poll to collect data they would send to the Senate. If you're a good blogging citizen, you probably remember coming across it and casting your vote. You may not have kept up with how there are currently two votes in favor of gay marriage (or a civil union) for every vote opposed.
It turns out that the AFA were really just kidding about the whole thing, and won't be submitting the "biased results" after their opponents have "decided to have a little fun".
I don't know whether this is common knowledge or not, and I don't remember where I first saw the link, but it makes me more than a little pissed.
