Big Trouble in Little China Meets Dead Man
Not exactly The Wizard of Oz meets The Last Temptation of Christ, but a pretty good sequence of conflicting movies.

In other news, I did that thing where I sleep for an entire day yesterday. Fuck.

And for those of you who haven't been made aware of it yet, Theodore Sturgeon is God. I'm finally done with the second volume of his collected short stories, Microcosmic God, and top picks include: "Microcosmic God," (what do you do when you invent tiny gods? Get them to invent things!) "Poker Face," (no, it would give it away) "Nightmare Island," (when an alcoholic immune to nightmares is our only hope) "Completely Automatic," (In a world powered entirely by automatic machines, something's gotta give) "Biddiver," (when a perfectly ordinary Southern gentleman survives a species-changing radioactive transformation, whom will he kill?) "The Golden Egg," (what happens when a super-advanced race comes across Earth, and wants to play a game?) and "Cargo" (So, how exactly did the Fae escape WWII?).

PCMCIA == People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms

And 500 kbps is so, so sweet, compared to pigeon-speed kpbs. Use it to download the New Adventure Shell , which takes your ordinary command-line shell and turns it into a text-adventure game. It should take you about 1/2 second.

Other bored-out-of-your-skull sites to check out are General Zod's Homepage and The Temple of the Lemur.

Sturgeon's shorts are indeed wonderful.

The U5 icon is cool, haven't seen you use it before.
