I haven't posted in a long time - mostly because this week has been kindof hellish, and because of my obligations to others. In the last week, an acquaintance died, two of my friends were married, my car broke twice, I had to make food for a company potluck, and I'd been fighting my soon-to-be landlord company to find the checks we mailed them. I'll get back to those when I have time - for right now, I am well. But blargh - there is so little time right now, even to think or to write.

It's the MC Hawking I was listening to on Saturday. Really.

Hang in there.... don't forget to take care of yourself a little too. Small bits of pampering can save your sanity sometimes. Hope that everything works out.

It may not be much, but I at least have been getting a grin or two out of this horrifyingly evil powergaming thought recently:

L18 Sorcerer + L2 Fighter + Still Spell.

Cast everything with Still Spell and you have a heavy armor-wearing Sorc casting L8 spells! Fighter was chosen for the extra feats (may as well be able to swing a magical sword while you're at it right?), but could be switched for L1 or L2 Paladin (would have to be taken before any Sorc. Levels, and would force L/G) to gain immunity to all disease and huge ST bonuses (a high level sorc would probably have a CHA of at least 18-20).

Like I said it may not be much (and anyone who actually set out to do this in a real game should be slapped hard), but during the interminably long Three Sisters runs, it has been just enough to bring a smile to my face - hope it does the same for you.

Yeah - definitely making with the "Ack! Munchkiny Twink!" Smile.

Reminds me of how Deathboy took 5 levels of Life something (I think in Mage) and used the Alter Genetics power to make himself a Werewolf/Mage.

And dumbest twink ever? Uriah wanted to make a sorceror that specialized in touch attacks.

Specialize in Touch Attacks!?!?!

Do you mean he wanted to take the Fighter-only Weapon Specialization Feat and make 'Rays' (ranged touches) the chosen weapon, or did he want to build a Sorc who just liked to use 'touch' ranged spells?

*fetches 3ePH*

Oddly enough, the argument could be made (strange as it may seem) that a multiclassed Fighter / X caster-class could actually do it... almost useless to add a paltry +2 damage with a ray attack by the time you pick up the +4 BAB, but funny regardless.

Something to do when you're bored, or just want to see how truly grateful we should be for the gaming groups we play in - go check out the WOTC website (wizards.com) and wind your way to the D&D3 FAQ. 60 fucking pages (!) - and that's just for the PH / DMG. I thought we had DM's so that we didn't need lengthy clarifications... I mean, I have to put up with this crap with GW games (where there isn't an arbitrary rules-god, so it makes some sense), but even those have shorter rules FAQ's.
