Windows XP still pops out a smattering of dialog boxes on start up that I can not disable, no matter what I try. After being annoyed at these things for many moons, today I laughed out loud at "Wired Network Connection is Connected" because, in my coffee-deprived cognitive fog, I thought it was written in the same vein as "Serious Cat is Serious".

Grab ccleaner and run their reg cleaner. Then check the startup items.

I just read the word coffee, thought "oh crap, I left my coffee in the car," and put on shoes and coat to go get it. I then realized it was right in front of me. I either need to go to bed or drink more coffee.

To mangle an oft-used phrase, "Coffee is like violence. If it's not solving your problems, you're not using enough of it."
