I don't want to be up right now, but I suck at this.
After spending way too much time dicking around with my computer trying to cool it in some semi-quiet fashion, part of the fan control burst into flames. I wish I was kidding, but I'm not.

Time to start thinking about building anew . . .

Burst into flames!? Cool!

Er, I mean "that's bad."

If you're going to start over, go with an Antec P150 or P180 case. Much info here: http://silentpcreview.com/

+1.

So much for "not with a bang, but with a whimper". At least the thing went out in style.

Also, I like my Antec case.

Wow. I'm impressed.

At least you didn't set fire to a carwash.

Awwwwh no debris pics? What's the fun there?

I flowered both by Athlon and Ndvida. In principle this was a good idea. Certainly I have virtually no noise now; which is a god send considering this is both a web server and a media server attached to the TV.

Temps were down but now I've inherited some weird DVI sync-lock problem. Quite random for no reason. Means I have to force full-screen mode of a cmd prompt then exited it to restore the screen to its correct aspect.

It's never easy.

Fighting fire with fire, eh? Bummer.

I should never have left you alone.
