Milorad Pavic
This is somebody I found on another random search, related to House of Leaves and MZD.
gunn, erragal, devilstears, and others take note - Last Love in Constantinople - a Tarot deck novel based on the Major Arcana.

You forgot about me, pigfucker.
Hey. Could you, like, remind me of this book inna month and a half when I see you? I have no reasonable place to write things down for, well, about a month and a half.

I will be seeing you, right?

Re: You forgot about me, pigfucker.
I will try my best to remind you. And you will be seeing me. I hope. I am only allowed visitation from my work-pod for only so long ;-).

Shit! Did I not drool over The Dictionary of the Khazars to you when I finished it earlier this month? It's f*cking brilliant. And we have a (male) copy, if you'd be interested in borrowing it.

A male copy? Like, you sexed it and everything?

No need - the publisher did it for us! Pavic wrote 2 'versions' of the Dictionary, a male (blue dot on spine) & a female (red dot). They're exactly the same except for a 17-line paragraph near the end. PF's copy is male. When it was published in 1988, I'm sure it was a clever marketing ploy, but now that a quick Google search will get you both versions of the section in question, it's no longer so useful for selling extra copies. But who cares? It's a book written as a dictionary!

Speaking of writing using the Tarot, whatever happened to that quartet of stories we were supposedly working on? Does anybody think about that anymore?

I think about it from time to time, but personally, I've written shit recently.

I knew a Tarot book was a marketable idea!

Unfortunately it sounds like that book just might suck.

It may, but there don't seem to be a large number of reviews, and the people reviewing don't necessarily seem to understand what the author is playing at. I'm planning on looking for it in a library first.

Cool, I'm still interested in what it's like.
